What should I expect during my initial consultation?
Your consultation lays the foundation for your program. During this visit, we obtain your medical history, blood pressure, pulse, and body measurements. We also measure your weight and body composition to determine your body’s percentage of fat, water, and muscle. You will then have a thorough discussion with Dr. Everett during which time you will be given a fully-customized plan for effective weight loss based on your health, lifestyle, and goals.

What programs do you offer?
hCG Hormones: This method of weight reduction is based on the theory of eliminating abnormal body fat through the administration of the hCG hormone in conjunction with a highly specific very low calorie diet. In addition to losing pounds and inches, the body’s metabolic setpoint is reprogrammed. Dr. Everett adheres to Dr. A.T.W. Simeons’ original, effective protocol and is proud to be a TrimYou® Certified Provider.

Prescription Appetite Suppressants: When used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program, appetite suppressants are an effective method to assist with weight loss. This program involves the use of FDA-approved prescription diet pills to curb the appetite and jump-start the weight loss process. It is usually combined with a low-calorie, balanced diet consisting of your own food. We emphasize the importance of keeping a journal and calorie counting for improved accountability and long-lasting results.

Meal Replacement Programs, full and modified: Designed for rapid and lasting weight loss, we offer high-nutrition, calorie-controlled plans based on your specific metabolism. Dr. Everett will determine your daily calorie allowance and prescribe a diet consisting entirely of delicious, satisfying, and nutritionally complete meal replacement shakes and snacks. This method, which is only available to physicians, is the most efficient way to lose weight while tackling food addiction issues. The Modified program is the same plan, but adjusted to include a calorie-specific lunch or dinner that may include your favorite foods.

Age Management Medicine: Age Management Medicine is a proactive, preventative approach to healthcare focused on preservation of optimum human function and quality of life. The core components of Age Management Medicine are patient evaluation through extensive medical history, lifestyle assessment, physical examination and laboratory analysis to establish personalized proactive treatment plans. Hormone optimization therapy, superior approach to diet, nutrition, and neutraceutical supplementation, and efficient exercise regiments all work synergistically to slow down the aging process and improve overall health.

How much do your services cost?
The initial consultation cost is $75, and we apply $25 of that to your first purchase. The initial start up cost begins at $155, which covers the cost for your physical exam, analysis of baseline blood work and EKG, orientation, and instructional materials. Ongoing fees vary based on which program you choose and the amount of meal replacements you require, if any. We have comprehensive plans starting at $125 per month.

Does insurance cover your fees?
To provide the best service possible, we choose to work directly with the patients and not the insurance companies! We collect our fees from the patient up front, and will gladly provide paperwork with the necessary billing codes for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. We suggest that you contact your insurance provider to find out what coverage you are eligible for.

Who is eligible to begin treatment at Everett Medical?
We accept all adults (ages 18 and up) who are looking to improve their health. This ranges from those who just want to improve their body composition and lose a few “vanity” pounds to those who are severely overweight. Dr. Everett is board certified in Internal Medicine, so she will customize your plan based on your medical conditions, and will even work with your doctor to adjust some of your medications as needed.

Do you conduct group meetings?
We believe that every patient has individual needs, so all services are performed on a one on one basis. This allows us to adjust your treatment plan to suit your individual needs. Each visit is geared towards helping you achieve your weight loss goals and teaching techniques to help you keep your weight off for the long term.

How often will I see the doctor?
Office visits with Dr. Everett occur anywhere from monthly to weekly, depending on the amount of medical monitoring you require and the frequency of behavioral modification counseling necessary for your current diet phase. During these visits, she monitors you for medication side effects and potential complication associated with rapid weight loss. In conjunction with your primary care physician, routine medications for diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol are adjusted, as your requirement for such medicines will decrease as you lose weight.

Do you have a maintenance program?
Once you reach your goal, Dr. Everett develops a customized lifestyle plan for you to follow so that you can maintain your results. We encourage you to come in for a weigh-in with body composition analysis and measurements at least monthly once you reach your goal. Our Medical Assistants will provide you with emotional support and education to help you stay on track. Of course, Dr. Everett is always available to help as well.
